I think that if voldemort really wanted to kill harry potter the night the spell didn’t work on him he could’ve just picked him up and thrown him out a window given the fact that he was a one year old infant

QuestionHi, sorry for asking something that might be obvious, it's just that english isn't my first language so I don't understand all of the instructions. I have just recently decided to learn the basics about Tengwar and I just can't seem to understand why there are two versions of it - Sindar and Quenya: why have two versions? Is one of them more, how do I put it, "true" to the elvish language? Answer

tengwar-tutor:

Sindarin is one Elvish language, spoken by a particular group of Elves - this is the most widespread Elvish language in Middle Earth.

Quenya is another Elvish language, spoken by a different group of Elves (some Elves speak both) - this is the language from which Sindarin evolved.

In other words, they are two separate languages, and therefore they each use a version of the Tengwar that best fits the pronunciation of their language. The Sindarin and Quenya modes of Tengwar are each truest to their own respective language.

Hope this makes sense!
